Research Approaches for Environmental Problem Solving

Exploration of diverse research tools, models, and approaches central to interdisciplinary work on the world's leading environmental issues. This team-taught course spans the natural and social sciences and engineering. Emphasis on four key aspects of career development: initiating doctoral research; mastering and integrating diverse research approaches; professional speaking; and writing. Students lead discussions, give a research presentation, and write a major grant proposal, on topics in their own areas of interest.
