Yaqui Valley Sustainability Conference

The annual Yaqui Valley Sustainability Conference brings together the extensive team of researchers and stakeholders involved in the Yaqui Sustainability project.
The first day of the conference includes a full day of formal reports from the members of the Stanford and Mexican research teams. The second day of the conference, consists of learning about and brainstorming ideas for future work in the Valley.

On Tuesday afternoon, a number of Mexican leaders from the governmental sector, industry, NGOs, and other scientific organizations in Sonora will participate in an afternoon session lead by CIMMYT Senior Scientist and Yaqui Principal Investigator Dr. Ivan Ortiz-Monasterio. The session will include a comprehensive presentation highlighting some of the major findings of work in the Valley as well as a looking toward new areas of research and collaboration.
