Donald Kennedy is selected as the third Clark Kerr Lecturer
The lecture series provides an important venue for leading scholars and practitioners to come to the University of California to reflect upon and consider major policy issues facing higher education, broadly defined.
|
In 2001, the University of California established the Clark Kerr Lectures on the Role of Higher Education in Society, under the auspices of the Center for Studies in Higher Education on the Berkeley Campus. It is the major lecture series for the University of California system. The lectures are supported by the Carnegie Corporation and the University of California Office of the President.
The Clark Kerr Lectures are held every two years. The inaugural lectures in 2003 were given by Harold Shapiro, and those in 2005 were given by Chuck Vest. The lectures will be published in book form with the University of California Press.
